Inversion workshops
Inversions in yoga refer to postures in which the head is positioned below the heart. These postures are a great vector of energy, joy and good humor. Practicing them engages our entire body, and helps strengthen our balance.
Of course, they can be frightening at first, giving a feeling of loss of bearings, however we can work to overcome these fears by simple, precise exercises, by adequate warm-ups and by a rigorous technique, which will allow us to practice in complete safety. Inversions then become a beneficial practice for self-confidence, concentration and connection to the present moment.
During these workshops we will return to the multiple benefits that these postures provide us, then we will devote a significant amount of time to preparatory practice, essential for working on inversions: warm-ups, flexibility and muscle strengthening. We will then focus on two postures, for which we will refine the technique and learn tips for practicing safely:
Salamba Sirsasana : Headstand
Pincha Mayurasana : Forearm Pose
Thanks in particular to working in pairs, these workshops will allow everyone to go at their own pace. Learning the basics, discovering or exploring variations in greater depth: these workshops are designed so that each student draws on the resources they need, whatever their initial level of practice.
